FUCKED UP- David Comes To Life - 2XLP / CD - MATADOR

click to enlarge Most probably the first "Rock-Opera" by a (former) Hardcore-Punk band. In 4 acts, resp. 18 songs, the album tells the story of David, a young lad from the british wastelands, finding his love of life, losing it, getting desperate, and then back on the tracks again... Could be inspired by the WHO's "Quadrophenia", but musically it reminds more of THERAPY?! Double-LP includes download-code as well.

To the NEGATIVE APPROACH like sound of their early days, they have added a strong dose of bombastic Hard-Rock (kinda comparable to TURBONEGRO), and even tripping sometimes into progressive fields, almost like early PINK FLOYD...
