 2nd full album by this incredibly awesome duo from Portland/USA! While their previous LP reminded me mostly of the minimalistic brilliance of the URINALS, this new one evokes the spirit of other once great bands: The BUGS have the same ability of writing little Pop-pearls with a Punk-sound as the early SWELL MAPS, TV PERSONALITIES or the TIMES (including the fine sense of satirical humour). But most of all, they remind me of the best aspects of the legendary HALF JAPANESE, and not only because the vocals sound sometimes similar to Jad Fairs voice. A super great LP, filled with 18 songs, that doesn't sound out-dated or nostalgic, but very vivid and fresh!
