CARGO CULT/TEXAS BISCUIT BOMBS- Two Headed Cobra - 2XLP - MODERN CITY RECORDS
CARGO CULT from Austin/Texas included Randy Biscuits Turner (of BIG BOYS fame) and Duane Denison (ex-SCRATCH ACID). The band released an LP on TOUCH&GO in 1986, and recorded demos for a 2nd album in 1987. But Denison moved to Chicago, playing in the JESUS LIZARD, and these recordings remained unreleased – until now here on this!
Forward to 2004, Biscuits put together a fun live-band, playing Texas Punk classics (from REALLY RED, DICKS, and of course BIG BOYS) but also not-so-punk classics (from ZZ TOP, CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL or SPENCER DAVIS GROUP). This release here includes 2 live-sets, recorded 2004 and 2005 in Austin. In August 2005, Biscuits died, and there the story ends.
This double-LP features a total of 27 songs, and it comes as a FANTASTIC package: Both vinyls as multi-colored pressings, with silkscreened & special-cut sleeves, and LOTS(!) of inserts included, all featuring artwork by Biscuits, and a download-coupon as well! Limited edition of 1000 copies!
